Israel Start-Up Nation’s Matthias Brändle put on a good performance in the individual time trial on stage 6 of Tour de Pologne, finishing in 10th place.

The 19.1 km long course featured numerous corners making for quite a technical route. As Austrian national time trial champion, naturally, Brändle was eager to show off his jersey with a good ride against the clock in the streets of Katowice.

Brändle took second place when he crossed the line and ultimately, his time was good enough to secure a Top-10 place on the day.

Matthias Brändle: “In general, this was an OK time trial for me. Not good but not bad either. It’s definitely something we can build on and I think that I’ll only get faster and faster on this bike. Hopefully, I can already play for the win in Tour Poitou – Charentes next week.”

Tomorrow, Tour de Pologne finishes with a flat stage for the sprinters.
