Omer Goldstein finished 21st on a challenging European Championships course on Sunday.
“I gave every ounce of energy and every watt of power I had in me,” said Omer Goldstein, exhausted on the finish line of the race.
The effect of this effort was a super impressive performance in a tough edition of the championship, finishing 21st, 54 seconds behind the winner and new champion, Christophe Laporte.
Sports Director, Aviad Israel, called it one of the most impressive races by an Israeli ever.
Chapeau, Omer! 🇮🇱🇪🇺

Our three Israelis will be ready on the start line of the European Championshils tomorrow.
The IPT Israeli trio, Omer Goldstein, Guy Sagiv, and Itamar Einhorn, will face the challenging 199km course in the north of the Netherlands, aiming to make it a memorable race while supporting each other.
The approach: Nothing to lose and being aggressive. Good luck to them, as well as their Swiss IPT teammate, Reto Hollenstein!

There was a lot of "what if" talk in the Israeli national team following their first European U23 showing as a full team today.
The somewhat bitter feeling stemmed from events in the last few kilometers of the race. The team`s top riders, who were in the front group with a realistic hope to finish in an unprecedented top 10 position, faced some serious misfortune. A crash halted Rotem Tene, and Raisberg was forced to stop due to a mechanical issue.
“I`ve never been more disappointed,” he said. "A top result was within reach."
Still, Sports director Aviad Israel was proud: "It was a bitter finale, sure. But we were up there."
